This makes a filling, nutritious lunch. I usually make it at the beginning of the week and enjoy copious left-overs. If you don't have the various kinds of oils, you can substitute, and just use all of one kind. Try to stick with OO, peanut, or sesame though.
Serves 6 ~ $2.00 per serving
1.5 pounds of stewing beef, or if you're rich, flank steak
1/2 c lemon juice
6 T naturally fermented soy sauce
*******(keep your eyes opened for this when you run out of your own - it's all natural, sugar free)
2 T EVOO or peanut oil
1 T sesame oil
1 t freshly grated ginger
pinch of red pepper flakes
2 T sesame seeds
1/2 pound of snow peas, steamed
1 red pepper, thinly sliced
1 pound bean sprouts, lightly steamed (i leave these out and add peanuts and red onions!)
Broil meat 3-4 minutes, or until medium rare.
Let stand while you mix lemon, soy sauce, oils, ginger, and pepper flakes.
Marinate the meat.
When ready to eat, mix together veggies, meat, and sesame seeds.
