Crockpot Ragout

This is our busy night recipe. You can slice up the veggies and brown the chicken the night before you want to eat it, and have the ingredients all set to cook at night. Turn on the crockpot in the morning, and you'll have dinner ready when you get home! Thanks to Lindsay over at Passionate Homemaking for this easy and yummy recipe.

1 lb ground anti-biotic free chicken
1 onion, thinly sliced
6 carrots, thinly sliced
4 new potatoes, thinly sliced
1.5 c celery, peas, corn, or veggies of your choice (or leave them out!)
2 cloves garlic minced
sea salt and pepper
1 cup water

Saute 1 lb. ground chicken til browned.

Layer in a dutch oven or crockpot.

Add vegetables and seasonings.

Add 1 cup water.

Cook on low in crockpot ~6-8 hours, or covered pot for 30 minutes.
